What is Community Service?
Community service is the action of connecting with the community for the purpose of improving lives of all ages. Students are able to become active members in society and contribute in a meaningful way by participating through volunteer work.
Civic Engagement
Civic engagement not only unites neighborhoods — it also educates students in problem solving, understanding diversity, good citizenship, and leadership. These attributes are at the core of HALLMARK COLLEGE's mission. HALLMARK is committed to solving real problems and making a difference in the lives of our students and our neighbors.
HALLMARK supports three types of civic engagement:
- Research and academic programs that directly benefit communities
- Public service by students and faculty
- Business practices that support local economic development
