Hallmark College has conducted a curriculum validation workshop at Olymoic Hotel in Gondar
Hallmark College was established by highly educated professionals with the aim of improving the quality of education in Ethiopia. To launch master’s programs, Hallmark College conducted a national curriculum validation workshop on three master’s programs: the Master of Business Administration, the Master of Science in Project Management, and the Master of Arts in Marketing Management on November 12, 2022, at the Olympic Hotel in Gondar. Well-known scholars and stakeholders across various professional disciplines from different organizations participated in the workshop. The college dean, Professor Assegid Demissie, welcomed the audience and stated that opening a private higher education institution with such a large number of experienced academic staff who have PhDs and full professor titles is a profound step in improving educational quality in Ethiopia. And he added that such experiences should be shared by other similar institutions. Dr. Asmamaw Tilahun also addressed the audience about the college. He stated that in terms of permanent academic staff, the college has the capacity to launch a Ph.D. program. He further stated that the college will not only participate in education but also in training, consulting services, and community engagement services.
The Hallmark College website (www.hallmarkcollege.edu.et) was also designed, developed, and presented by Mr. Abebe Alemu, a computer science instructor at the University of Gondar. He stated that the website offers e-learning, online program applications, academic program information, and most importantly, a hallmark digital library that allows all hallmark students to access the most recent books and resources from any location.
